Detailed itinerary of your 22 days Uganda safari adventure
Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Kampala
Meet your tour leader on arrival at Entebbe International Airport for a warm welcome and a quick briefing on what you should expect on your 22 days Uganda safari adventure. After, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kampala about 50kms drive in a comfortable 4×4 drive safari vehicle.

Day 2: Drive to Jinja
After an early morning cup of tea or coffee, check out of the hotel in Kampala and later, drive to Source of the Nile in Jinja, Eastern Uganda via the Kampala-Jinja highway. On the way, catch a glimpse at the magnificent Mabira Forest Reserve-one of the remaining tropical rainforests in Uganda-the pearl of Africa. Arrive early enough at Source of the Nile to take part in white water rafting experience. The white-water rafting adventure takes you through the scenic River Nile with a chance for you to challenge yourself with rapids.

Day 3: Travel from Jinja to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Have breakfast early in the morning and later, begin your journey to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary via the Kampala-Luweero-Masindi route. Arrive early enough to have lunch and after, you will have afternoon rhino tracking experience which won’t only reward you with astonishing sight at rhinos but also a variety of bird species. After, you will get to Amuka Safari Lodge for dinner and night stay.
Day 4: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, check out of Amuka Safari Lodge and drive to Murchison Falls National Park a home to enormous wildlife species and the world’s powerful Murchison Falls. Murchison Falls National Park is set in Northwestern Uganda and today, you will embark on afternoon game drive. This is for you to explore different wildlife species including elephants, buffaloes, Rothschild giraffes, birds and many more. After, drive back to the lodge to relax, dine and spend a night.

Day 5: Game drive and launch trip
Begin your day with breakfast and after, you will have a morning game drive via the Northern circuit of Murchison Falls National Park. A game drive along this part of the park takes about 3 to 4 hours and it lets you catch a glimpse at varied wildlife species including among others buffaloes, African bush elephants, lions, Rothschild giraffes, warthogs, antelopes, leopards, and many others. Get back to the lodge to enjoy lunch and in the afternoon, you will embark on a launch trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls. This is an exceptional water sports experience that allows you to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, water birds, and many other wildlife species. At Baker’s rock, disembark and hike to the top of Murchison Falls which squeezes itself in a narrow gorge at a narrow gorge of about 7 meters prior plunging about 43 meters.

Day 6: Drive from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and later, drive to Kibale Forest National Park which is in Western Uganda. This park is 795 square kilometers and inhabits about 13 primate species including 1500 chimpanzees, red tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys. You will have lunch in Fort Portal and later, drive to Kibale Forest National Park.

Day 7: Chimpanzee habituation experience
After a hefty cup of tea or coffee, drive to Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a briefing on chimpanzee habituation experience. Chimpanzee habituation is the process in which chimpanzees are made to get used to human presence and this usually takes about 2 years less or more. This is a whole day primate experience and you will spend 4 hours exploring their behaviors, take their pictures. Return to the lodge to relax, dine and spend a night.

Day 8: Crater walk and then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today, you will be served with breakfast and after, you will embark on Crater walk while enjoying the breathtaking view of tea and banana plantation. Hike to a spot which gets you clear view over the 3 scenic crater lakes, the Rwenzori Mountain ranges and surrounding areas. After, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for about 3 hours. You will embark on sunset game drive to enjoy an amazing view over diverse wildlife and the sun as it sets.

Day 9: Game drives and launch trip on Kazinga Channel
After a hefty breakfast, you will set off for a morning game drive via Kasenyi Plains on the Northern side of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is a 3-4-hour wildlife experience and it allows you to explore the diversity of wildlife species including African bush elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, birds, warthogs, antelopes and exceptional view of the landscapes. Later, drive back to the lodge to have lunch and in the afternoon, you will have an afternoon launch trip along Kazinga Channel. The afternoon launch or boat cruise allows you to explore several water birds, hippos, crocodiles and many other wildlife species.

Day 10: Game drive along Ishasha sector
Following breakfast early in the morning, you will drive to the Ishasha area in the Southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will check into the lodge to relax and to have lunch. In the afternoon, you will set off for sunset game drive which gets you a chance to see the tree-climbing lions plus several bird species.

Day 11: Game drive and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After your cup of tea or coffee, you will have an early morning game drive where you will catch a glimpse at the tree climbing lions and many other species of wildlife. Later, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and at Savanna Resort, you will have lunch. Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to check in at the lodge of your choice.

Day 12: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up to have breakfast and after, with your bottled drinking water and packed lunch, you will join other visitors for a morning briefing on gorilla trekking rules and regulations. Gorilla treks in Bwindi begin from Ruhija, Rushaga, Nkuringo or Buhoma region. You will be assigned to one gorilla family to trek in a group of 8 visitors and at 8:00am, the park ranger guide will accompany you to search for mountain gorillas. This will take you about 2 to 6 hours which also covers about one hour of magical encounter.
After return to the lodge to rest and in the evening, you will pay a visit to Batwa community for cultural experience.

Day 13: Second gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will gather at Bwindi park headquarters for briefing on the rules and regulations for gorilla trekking. Today, you will trek a different gorilla family from that you trekked the previous day.

Day 16: Connect to Lake Bunyonyi

In the afternoon, you will embark on canoe ride to one of the islands while enjoying incredible sights at diverse bird species and the lake’s exceptional beauty.
