After breakfast, connect to Entebbe Airport for your 2 hours’ flight to Kihihi/Kisoro airstrip. From Kisoro/Kihihi airstrip, you will be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park about 1 hour’s drive.
In case you get to the park early, you may participate in guided walk or visit the Batwa community for cultural tour. Relaxation, dinner and overnight stay will be at your gorilla safari lodge.

Day 2: 1st gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have breakfast early in the morning and after, assemble at briefing point and this will depend on the gorilla trekking region your permit directs you to. The 7:00am briefing lets you understand the set gorilla trekking rules and also it is when you will be allocated to one gorilla family.
At 8:00am you and the park guide start your trek to see mountain gorillas, learn about their daily behaviors and take pictures. The whole gorilla trek can cover from 2 to 6 hours but this includes 1 hour which you have to plan appropriately since it covers photography, learning how mountain gorillas feed, socialize and a lot more.
Interestingly, expect to see other primates, birds, butterflies, trees and plants along the way while on gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Being unpredictable primate adventure, we advise you to have some packed snacks, bottled drinking water and a rain jacket. After a heavy breakfast, gather at briefing area once again to have insight into gorilla tracking rules and regulations. Today, you will explore a different gorilla group although it might be in the same region, every gorilla family has something unique to reward you with and they have a distinct composition.
